A German man who in retaliation for being forced off a train decided to moon (show his behinds) the railway staff in a departing train. In the process, he got his trousers caught in a carriage door and ended up being dragged half naked along the platform, out of the station and onto the tracks.

The 22-year-old journalism student shoved his backside against the window of a low-slung double-decker train when staff forced him off in Lauenbrueck for travelling without a ticket, a spokesman for police in the northern city of Bremen said.

“It’s a miracle he wasn’t badly hurt,” the spokesman said on Monday. “This sort of thing can end up killing you.”

Instead, dangling by his trousers, the man got pulled along for about 200 metres, all the while managing to keep his legs away from the wheels of the train.

The ordeal ended when a passenger pulled the emergency brake. Rescues services were called in, causing rail services between Bremen and Hamburg to be suspended for over an hour, delaying 23 trains.

The man — unharmed except for cuts and bruises — now faces charges of dangerous interference in rail transport, insulting the train staff, and may face a sizeable compensation claim for the delays he caused, police said.

“He was full of remorse when I talked to him,” the spokesman said. “And he advised others not to try the same thing.”

Everyone loves a swimming pool with a swim-up bar (bar built into pool) but this is ridiculous. Pictured below is the redneck version. The picture is self-explanatory of how stupid these guys are.

Well, see for yourself.

Everytime I think that I have seen the most stupidest, idiotic thing that people can do, I stumble upon something else that is worst than the last. This one takes the cake.

Oh and if I have to explain to you what is wrong with this picture, you are a bigger dipnoid than these guys.

It appears that the man lit a cigarette in his bathroom, causing an explosion and blowing out the back wall in the process.

Not sure if it was gas coming from the sewage system or the man’s gas but at any rate, gas plus flame, not a good combo.

The poor guy suffered severe burns on his face and upper body, but is expected to survive. Adding to his dilemma, authorities discovered marijuana in the man’s home. Bummer!

Instead of paying attention to where she was walking, she was too intent on tapping out a text message to notice the gaping gap in the sidewalk and just dropped straight on in.

Now her parents are suing the city.

The story says nothing about whether there were warning signs or even barriers set up to block access to the open manhole. Nevertheless, this does not negate the fact that one should pay attention to where they are going, especially in a busy city.

How often have you seen someone walking or even worse, driving who are completely oblivious to anything else going on around them?

Hopefully Alexa is okay but one thing for sure – I would imagine she will pay more attention when walking about in the city in the future, despite the fact as to whether her parents will succeed in suing the city or not.

Problem – it was the wrong house.

The home’s owner, Al Byrd of Atlanta, said he heard about the mistake when a neighbor called him to tell him the house he grew up in — along with his family heirlooms — had been destroyed and thrown into dumpsters.

Luckily, no one was living in the house at the time. Byrd said his father built the house by hand in 1950. He is also talking with an attorney but hasn’t made any decisions on what to do.

He said he’s gotten an apology from the companies who made the mistake. If it were my house, aplogies would only be the beginning of recompenses I’d expect from these dipnoids.

In addition, when police arrived to investigate the incident, they found a methamphetamine lab in his home.

Achterberg was electrocuted and fell to the ground. Roy Achterberg reportedly broke his back, neck, pelvis and his organs were hardened from the electricity, leaving him in critical condition. Achterberg placed a metal ladder on the pole and tried to siphon the electricity with jumper cables.

While deputies were investigating the theft of electricity, they found a meth lab in Achterberg’s home. The fifth judicial Drug Task Force cleaned up the chemcials.

Deputies said if Achterberg is released from the hospital he will be charged with theft of services and running a meth lab.

A British driver has blamed his GPS navigation unit for leaving his car teetering on the edge of a cliff after he followed its instructions. Robert Jones said he trusted his navigational system and continued to follow it when it told him the steep, narrow footpath he was driving on was a road. Go figure!

Car dragged from cliff top after sat nav 'nightmare'. Pic: Ross Parry/Halifax Courier

Jones, who is from Doncaster, South Yorkshire, northern England, now has a court date for driving without due care and attention. This after his BMW nearly plunged down a 100-foot cliff in Todmorden, West Yorkshire, on Sunday. He was only stopped from falling after the vehicle rammed into a wire fence.

The 43-year-old, who works as a driver, said he relies on his sat nav for his job and described the incident as a “nightmare”.

He told the Halifax Evening Courier, “It kept insisting the path was a road, even as it was getting narrower and steeper, so I just trusted it. You don’t expect to be taken nearly over a cliff.”

One onlooker said, “It’s all well and good trusting your sat nav but how about trusting your eyes and when there’s not a road in front of you, don’t keep driving.”

Sounds like novel advice, unless you’re a dipnoid that is.

Along with the station itself, six fire engines perished in the 3 million (GBP) blaze in which occurred in Syke, northern Germany.

It took 250 firemen from nearby towns to finally bring the inferno under control.

Investigators believe the fire fighters could have triggered the blaze themselves in a training exercise accident. Faulty wiring could also be the cause.

The weekend blaze was the second time the brigade has lost all its engines in a fire as the station was gutted by a fire in 1994.

“A fire service that can’t even keep its own fire station and engines safe doesn’t exactly inspire confidence,” raged one local.

Don’t try this at home – that is use a blowtorch to melt snow, especially when there is a wood home nearby. A New Bedford, Mass. failed to heed this advice when he used a blowtorch to melt ice on his back porch. He ended up setting his house on fire, causing up to $30,000 in damage.

Fire Capt. Scott Kruger tells The Standard-Times of New Bedford the man was using a torch hooked up to a 20-pound propane cylinder. He got too close to the building’s wood frame and ignited the vinyl siding. The fire quickly spread into the building’s second- and third-floor apartments.

It took 25 firefighters to subdue the blaze that damaged bedrooms in the upstairs units, and caused damage to the structure and wiring.

Fortunately nobody was hurt in the blaze, with the exception of the man’s poor ego.

I have to wonder what the creators of Wii were thinking when they were developing the game. Could they have thought, "Many people who play video games are getting too fat, especially Americans. So let's invent a game where they have to be active as well." Along that line of thinking, Wii should be a game that helps people get back into shape then - right? Well, not for many who are finding themselves hospitalized with "Wii-itis" types of injuries.

I have to wonder what the creators of Wii were thinking when they were developing the game. Could they have thought, “Many people who play video games are getting too fat, especially Americans. So let’s invent a game where they have to be active as well.” I’m not saying that is why they developed the game but it does make good sense.

Along that line of thinking, Wii should be a game that helps people get back into shape then – right?

Well, not for many who are finding themselves hospitalized with “Wii-itis” types of injuries.

In fact up to ten people a week are being hospitalized with injuries caused by playing Nintendo Wii games. This has prompted doctors in Britain to issue warnings of the dangers associated with the video game system.

“There has been a 100 percent increase in patients complaining of Wii-itis,” Dr. Dev Mukerjee of Broomfield Hospital, Essex, told The Sun newspaper.

Most patients are admitted after playing tennis or running games which involve sudden movements, resulting in tendon stretching or tearing.

“It’s possible Wii-itis may lead to rheumatism or arthritis later in life. Patients often have inflammation of the shoulder or wrist,” said Dr. Mukerjee.

Another common injury is dubbed Wii-knee which is blamed on the bending of the knee from the Wii-Fit game. This involves a special platform and a series of movements ranging from yoga to strength-training moves. In extreme cases, the kneecap can be dislocated or pop out of joint.

So it would seem that those who are playing Wii games that require a good deal of physical activity should get in shape prior to playing. Otherwise, they should go back to playing traditional video games that require no physical activity.
